Jersey Boys is a jukebox musical with music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe, and book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice. It is presented in a documentary-style format that dramatizes the formation, success and eventual break-up of the 1960s rock ‘n’ roll group The Four Seasons. The musical is structured as four “seasons”, each narrated by a different member of the band who gives his own perspective on its history and music. Songs include “Big Girls Don’t Cry”, “Sherry”, “December, 1963 (Oh, What a Night)”, “My Eyes Adored You”, “Stay”, “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You”, “Walk Like A Man”, “Who Loves You”, “Working My Way Back to You” and “Rag Doll”

‘Wish Upon A Song Volume II’ is a concert production celebrating some of the most well loved music of Disney. The program consists of approximately 25 musical numbers over 2 Acts and provides for a sizeable ensemble (adults and juniors) with opportunities for soloist performers.

Lyric SING is an interactive singing group hosted by the Geelong Lyric Theatre Society. The sessions not only include learning multi part harmonies but also valuable warm up and vocal breathing techniques.

Our Annual General Meeting, due to be held Sunday 20th December 2020, has been
postponed until Tuesday 2nd February 2021. This is a lawful postponement, made possible by the Department of Consumer Affairs, Victoria, who have offered three month extensions for incorporated organisations, within the current financial year.

The Geelong Lyric Theatre Society is set to delight audiences of all ages, with highlights from their ‘on-hold’ Disney showcase “Wish Upon A Song”. This will be 60 minutes of pure musical magic presented by some of Geelong’s top vocal talents, accompanied live on stage by members of the orchestra and backed by voices of full cast and choir. Spectacular entertainment in a relaxed and intimate setting will be the vibe of the night, with a setlist of perennial Disney favourites and showstoppers to boot! There is truly something for everyone here!

The final season of Lyric Sing kicks off on Tuesday 26th November from 7.30pm following Lyric’s AGM.
The 4 weeks season will have a Christmas flavour and will conclude with a ‘pub choir’ style performance on Sunday 22nd December at the Elephant & Castle Hotel.
